Ree Kirksey

Ree Kirksey joined KSWO as a Multimedia Journalist and Weekend Evening Anchor in July of 2025.

Ree is from Austin, Texas, and is an alum of Austin Achieve Public Schools.

She attended college at Western Kentucky University. During her time in college, she was a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), even serving on the national conference panel, representing the university. She was also a writer for the university magazine, "The Talisman."

Ree gained experience in television news while at Western Kentucky as a member of the WKU News Channel 12 broadcast. She also served as an intern at WNKY News 40. She loves meeting new people and being able to make connections through her job in TV news.

With family in Austin, Ree is excited to live closer to her home state while also enjoying what Southwest Oklahoma has in store.

When she's not working, Ree loves to shop, listen to podcasts and collect seashells.
